The Avvoltore is the most representative wine of Morisfarm, harvested from the vineyards planted on the Poggio, the hill, of the same name. A clayey-calcareous soil that gives a strong and powerful tannin in the glass. The first vintage was in 1988; the blend has since undergone very few changes and in recent years is always characterized by these grapes: Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The name describes the Falcon of the Maremma, a bird of prey that often flies over these vineyards.
